Blog expérimental, devrait évoluer. Vos commentaires sont attendus !
On m'avait prévenu que la dernière année de thèse était difficile. Effectivement, on a parfois l'impression de plus en voir le bout!
I was told that the last year of docoral studies was the hardest. Indeed, I feel sometimes like it will never end!
Allez on se motive!
I could have written an article about the awful weather we have here in London, with a picture taken by a street camera near my office at noon, showing a wet summer indeed. I was going to do so, because I had heard this ironic and poetic expression which I found ideal to describe this rainy summer, and which made such a good title: Liquid Sunshine.
Anyway, I'd rather talk to you about a blog that you'll surely put in your favorite bookmarks. I discovered it while editing the "French blog" category of the Open Directory Project (ODP). ODP is a bit of the yellow pages of the web, except that it is maintained by users like you and me.
So, I was editing this category, treating the backlog of the blogs waiting to be included. For each proposal, I have a quick look at the content, I check that it is updated regularly, and I add it - with some lines to describe it.
It is an interesting activity, I'd say. A bit like a random sampling of French sociological communities. Blogs by families, or romantic teenagers, or by desperate writers, or by mechanic sport fans, and quite a lot of artists as well. "Artists", should I rather say in most cases. Oh, and you have real nuts, too.
But a few days ago, I had to edit the blog by an artist which I like very much. He paints broad series organized around such or such subject. One of them consists in painting portraits on subway tickets. Said like this, it sounds pretty lame. But I invite you to have a look. It reminds me of Paris, I liked it very much!
